certain models (not all custom ones tho) will have bones hooked up to the mouth and will move when ppl use their mics.. so if you look at the models in hlmv (jeds being the best version) you can check the tabs (cant remember what it says exactly as i havent used it in a while) and see if its mouth can move..

this guy said it was a mod that he downloaded , he called it a plugin for his dod that makes the mouths move when you use your mic.

No. It's the model itself. The guy is either lying or doesn't know what he is talking about.
You don't need any mod, and a mod wouldn't do anything. The model still needs the bones, otherwise how does the mod know where the mouth part of the model is?
Here are my unit's 29th ID skins with moving mouths:
Unzip this file to your day of defeat/dod directory.

I have milkshape as well...
anyone know how to recompile player models so they will work in either...other games...or fix the older player models that run around bent over backwards because of steam ?

Is there a way to change the patches?

TigerMan4, just decompile and rearrange the sequences in the .qc file to match the sequence order of the target game's player models.
One of my retired members fixed the bent-over-backwards problem. His name is Manganaro - his aim s/n is Docmango44. He might be able to tell you how in simple terms..
Price, yeah..open it in HLMV and look at the bitmaps included in the 2nd or 3rd tab..extract, edit, import, recompile..

HLMV = half life model viewer
so you open the model..the .mdl file of the player..
