Ever have one of those maps were you just own everying that moves, But you forget to record a demo ?. Well i have this all the time and i can't go on any longer without requesting someone make a plugin , to offer the client to start recording a demo when they connect.
So it goes something like this. a player joins and after about 15 or 20 seconds a menu pops up asking them if they would like to record a demo.
Options, #1:Yes #2:No #3:not ask again.
if yes a recording is started. if no nothing happens.
The recording should only last one map and the plugin should remind the player to stop the demo just before the map ends or stop it automatically, Saying something to the effect of, "demo recording has been stopped" demo can be located in your dod folder.
Also maybe,To watch the demo, Press X or, to watch the demo bring down console and type playdemo nameofdemohere. You would have to advise the client if they choose to view the demo, They will dissconnect from the current server.
Plugin options
#1: cvar for admins only use or all clients.
#2: cvar for reminding the client to stop the demo, Automatically stop the demo upon map change or start a new demo at the beggining of the next map.
Obviously the demos whould have to be named something different for each demo so they wouldn't overwrite each other.
round1,round2 ect or the maps name date time ect.
