It would cool for a plugin where you get like a binocular plugin where you can use a bind key to call it up and you can zoom in and out. Not necessarily zoom in and out, but it could be a sniper scoped with a broader view.

Just use SetFOV message to zoom in, then block firing abilities (http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=41265). Very simple plugin. But as the other threads about this state, you won't be able to have a binocular sprite...you could have the sniper sprite though - to do this, play around with the numbers you send in the SetFOV message

You could pull up a sniper rifle, change the models to the binos and then use the sniper scope sprite to make a double like binos. Use the zoom scope the same as you would, so you would watch for the SetFOV call and then check to see if you have a sniper rifle in your models hands or a binos, rifle dont do shit, binos change the display sprite to be the double sprite. That would work fine, just need to make the sprite and compile it and such. My 2 cents!

I dont get how to do that... can some one point me in the right direction on where to read or something. I have no problem reading about it. I would love to know how to do this.

I have the binocular model compiled with the axis swing animations as a weapon(something I did a very long time ago). I could decompile that model, or fetch the original from the gcf, and compile it with the old animations for virtual, player, and world models. I could make the sprite also, that's all simple stuff. It's actually weird, I was just talking about this yesterday. I could probably work with my friend to make the script. So I can definably do the model(along with a new skin since I only use high-res), animations, compile, and sprites. If I can get my friends to write that plugin than it's set. If anyone else wants to write it, that would be cool too.
