Links for Servers

Ok, I am looking at creating a Link to Server that will be automatically created so long as you use the dodsupport plugin. I already have this in the Help Tabs, but I am going to create it on the right side of the site. This will let people see and connect to your servers. More of a reason to use it. However there will be an update as well. And if you use the plugin once, and shut it off, well your server will disapear. As well I will try to have the server check the maps you are on once every couple minutes and hopefully present that as well as the people on the server. That will be a separate page. You will also be able to admin the thing using the plugin/website. Anyway. This will be up in the next week or so as I am off to course on the 12th Oct till Jan 09. And I will have NOOOO time for nothin! Hehehe...so, heres to hoping!

Sounds like a good idea. Not only do we advertise dodplugins.net but in return we have some advertisement on this site. Being this the number one spot for people to find plugins for DoD specific it souns like a good treat. Only hope I can get my servers to function properly again.

I assume you are talking about this (http://www.dodplugins.net/forums/showthread.php?t=36) plugin? So it also shows the players the amount of plugins? I just took a look at what needs to be implemented into my server and whats already on there....The thing is, I don't want to scare of people with a message saying this server has 42 plugins on it...

That plugin or the block exploits, not sure which plugin uses it now :) Working on now.

Ok all, I have a basic version installed bottom right of the page. It will work on the old plugin. Once I have the system working well I will then put out the new plugin. Now for the important part, does anyone have or know where I can get a php server query tool. I have GameQ but it DOES NOT WORK! So, need to either do one myself or try another.

Ok, looking at a different way to do this. I am going to have the sma do an update of the webpage at the begining of every map. This is ONLY one html query, and it DOESN'T care about a return. This will give me some very basics to work with. I am also creating another plugin that will allow you the users to have a webpage, or a block that will allow you to do an update every minute, again 1 html query. Basically it will put all the information into an html line such as this:

http://www.dodplugins.net/serverinfo.php?name=bla&ip=1.1.1.1&port=27015&players=1

etc etc. So it basically compiles all that up and sends it to your webpage, and hopefully to dodplugins as well :)

Ok all, I have tested the module pretty good so far. Now as you people with the old plugin have your server start a new map it should show up on the bar bottom right. If that becomes unwieldy I will have a page devoted to this instead. At the moment all that remains is the construction of the sma. This sma will as stated before run quietly in the background. It will issue communication every once in a while. I am also going to work on a php webpage that will come with the sma for you own websites to do updates to. I will be coding it so that you can update your websites and dod plugins as well. Will talk at you all later!
