Okay so as you all know, Valve/Steam , hosed HL1 games as of yesterday.
it took me ti`ll now and this site to get amxmodx and metamod working again. ( thank you )
BUT ,no plugins work right now ? WHY !
I get this in HLSW:

right now i dont think any of ours is working ethier. it is not you i have tryed shutting down all plugins and cvars. did no good its valve untill they fix it we are screwed

I say all of the coders , server owners , mod builders and so on , sue valve for 1) down time 2) lost hours in new code 3) mental anquish 4) pain and suffering 5) loss of income 6) loss of server payments. etc.
why did they mess with an old game , that they say they don't support ?
me personally , I think they did it , because they want to kill the old hold out games , and force us all to buy the new crap-ol-a that they are pushing off as GREAT games.
What the hell did they do? Must be something in Metamod thats screwing up cause thats all I can think of. Could be amxmodx. Duno. Can I get some info on it?

what kind of info do you need ?
they did some stupid update and over wrote everyones liblist.gam and you had to fix that ( thanks to this site ) I figured that out.
but what did valve do ???
who the heck knows.
I personally think they are trying to do away with the old games and the old holdout players like myself and 1000s of Cs players who refuse to switch over to CSS

everything is working as was , sept for the lagg.
fix your liblist and add the solidplayer thing to your config.cfg in your dod folder and you will be okay.

We also got problems with our Server. Every 20-50 minutes they crashed and nothing stands in the Logs. I am running AMXX 1.8.0 and MM-1.19p32
Here are some interessant things, if I start the server:

Anyone have an idea?
Have u looked in gsconsole.log in /dod ?? And IMO 1.8.0 enver really worked, upgrade to 1.81
An other thing i dont get this. My servers(2) have been running 42 hours now and no problems, everything is working fine, meta, shrikebot, amxx, all plugins, amxbans.
The only problem i have is that my game aint working 100%, i can play like 10-15 min then it frezzes, and my error log gives me this:
Error:Failed to load dialog file Resource/UI/ClassMenu.res
Function trace:
I find that error in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\YOUR_ACCOUNT\day of defeat\errorlogs
And as i can see ClassMenu.res do not exsist and never had existed. In the UI folder there are *.res files but not one with that name...
The main thing i can see is that Protocol 47 (Linux, Dedicated, Protocol 47) is now Protocol 48 (Linux, Dedicated, Protocol 48) I see that in HLSW.
But again my servers are running just fine...

i read the link to the gameservers admin to valve kinda lets you know they are hashing it out. my server did just now come up and seems to be ok. will see how long it last

They had another update, things should be back to normal now, it may have overwritten some stuff though, so go through your stuff and look.

well i dont know about back to normal couldnt open doors, nades get thrown backwards and the only hitbox that works is the headshot.
changed maps pings seemed better and hitbox better then shut down its been 3 hours good luck. i hope the heads are smacking the update boys

I have asked the guys and girls playing in my server ,they say its running fine , no one is getting dropped , or complaining ( HOLY ! ) no complaints ? sheeesh.
but yes , everything seems to working now , we`ll see how long it lasts , I hope the update to fix the update , doesn't require another update to fix it...HAHAHAHA !

Tigerman, i presume when you say in your liblist you mean this, btw i run a windows server:-
For windows, find the gamedll line. It will looks like this:
gamedll "dlls\mp.dll"Replace it with:
gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll"
The update over rote this?
I have also added the cl_solid_players "0" to my userconfig.cfg

I run a linux server , so my .dll line is slightly different.
but yes...thank you dodplugins.net for this helpful tip , as the steam forums were useless....infact , they wouldnt activate any new accounts right after this happened , and still havnt activated mine as of yet , I guess they are waiting for the fix , so they don't get flamed like mad.
and yes...the cl_solid player thing goes in your userconfig.cfg in your dod folder on your pc.
this fixes the getting dropped after 5 minutes or getting locked up etc.

Steam has always taken their time to "approve" new forum accounts... even before this issue I had to wait about 8 days before I was "approved"

Just one question "mp_timelimit" is not working, i have this in the server.cfg and amxx.cfg for 90mins but thru hlsw its saying no limit?
any idea's?

HLSW seems a bit odd still, you are right about that. But it could work, it does with mine, but not always showing.

as far as hlsw mine was jacked to rcon failed we all know that goes into a bann.
go to hlsw.net and download the newest version and it will fix your hlsw thank god what would we do without it.
im just glad it is working although thru the next couple of weeks we might want to check for updates on it to.

I was going to mention getting the latest version of HLSW , it worked for me as well ,though I hate it , after getting use to the old version for so long ,I find the newest interface very distracting and hard to deal with.
grrrrr ! why cant people just leave stuff alone !

i dont think the new one is that bad.. memory leaks seem to be fixed finally
with the older version, after running for a few hours it would be using over 100mb.. now with 1.3.0, after running all day its only at about 15mb
The only time it gets high is when i have the ID editor open..

Mines only chewing up about 15-20mb as well, once you get used to it - its ok. pple just there tabs though...... :)

The map time and next map, works in game, but not in the latest version of HLSW for me.

Most problems people had with HLSW in my clan were kinda fixed by updating to the latest version. However for me it doesn't work since I time out on retrieving server log...anyone else having this issue? HLSW forums offer no solutions.
