Good Day All,

Here is the Squad Talk Plugin. This plugin now has menus to allow easier access to the commands. It has been tested mostly, haven't got anyone else to chat to, so, that needs to be done. It has been fixed up and works as best I can test.

Ver 1.1
Added TEAM so that when people join they can talk to the team
Added Menus
Fixed the dod_listsquads

Next version I will endevour to add the ability to create your own squads, with names. As well I will have a commander for each squad that can pass on information over other players by shutting them up. And finally I will have a Section Commander who will be in charge of your squads and be able to transmit info over everyone else.

Cheers!

And finally I will have a Section Commander who will be in charge of your squads and be able to transmit info over everyone else.

Perhaps a second ability that it allows more people to transmit to all. So the plugin can used also to have several languages, so each squad is a language but admins can still contact them.

Yes you could change it to like English Channel, French Channel, Deutch, bla bla bla...I can also have a special command that an admin can contact all people.

Cheers!

You might want to check out this thread http://www.dodplugins.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1284. It contains a link to the original thread where the idea was being talked about.

I think if you follow my link and the link provided in that thread you will understand the basics. Basicly people who join can choose a squad, so instead of you talking to your entire team, you can devide your team (perhaps handy in realism) into squads and let them communicate among each other without being annoying with voice chat to other squads.

Hope this answers your question. If you need more info, post and I'll try to provide it for you.

hey Zor, i posted this and wandored if you could tweak this into the code you already have for dod_squads...

DoD Plugins > General > Requests for DoD Plugins > "How about an area restrictor before round. "

...ignore the dod_restrict part... just skip to the dod_squad part

Don't know what you mean. What you need to do is stop posting everywhere about little things and instead post one message with a detailed outline of what you want. I know what you are attempting but you need to outline it right down to the smallest things. This is called 'Pseudo coding' : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudocode

This will help you to start down the basics of your wants and help you outline in detail what you are attempting to do. And it will help any developers give you pointers. Programming is NOT very hard...debugging the screw ups is!! Hehehe...and thats what takes time...

Good luck with the TR plugin your thinking on developing!

Haven't been working on any plugins for a long time. I have been super busy with work and have no time for me! So if anyone wants to adapt any plugins I usually work on go ahead! Other than that, sorry! Maybe in a few months when I am done with the current course I am on.

Cheers!
