I want to be able to make a players player model do a certain animation when certain conditions are met... I also want a players custom weapon model (as seen by the player) to do a certain animation as well...
any suggestions ?

 ok, um how exactly does a reply like this help me ?? I HAVE the models already.
The animation I want is already a part of the player model... and the animation for the weapon is already a part of that weapon model...
I want a code suggestion... that makes a players player model do a specific animation sequence that is ALREADY A PART of an existing model.

I've tried for so long to make a player do an animation. Every forum will claim they know how but if you actually test it, it doesn't work. The reason is the player model itself is constantly updating itself so it returns the animation to normal.
The only real way to do it as far as I know is to make the player invisible and create a representative entity to mimick the player. It's such a pain in the ass and not 100% effective though...I've never successfuly done it.

Like I said....learn to model. What your talking about it a function of the model, not the code.

 again, it has NOTHING to do with needing a custom model. I want to use an animation that is built into the player model we all have, and I am already partially there... so your suggestion to make a model is irrelevant to what I am asking for. Even if I made or had made a custom model, I would STILL NEED to force that model to play the sequence I want.
So you are not being very helpful at all to me.

Woah, both of you, easy. The best part of dodplugins.net forums is that people don't jump down your throat for not knowing everything like they do at amxmodx.org forums.
I noticed in diamond optic's rock throw plugin he attempts to make a player do an animation - does it work diamond?

I in no way was trying to come of like I was jumping down someones throat, I just got appalled by the apparent disregard of the context of my posts. Especially when the only replies made were to make a custom model, which would bring me no closer to a valid solution. With or without a custom model, I still need a way to make it show the animation desired....
And I have been talking to diamond about this "issue" over the animations. So far the only thing that CAN be controlled is the animation of the model as seen in the first-person view, still have not gotten the world animation to play right though... although on rare occasions, it does TRY to work, just not everytime called to show...
