wondering ??

I managed to download some new skins for weapons and knives can i put them in the models folder for my server or do i have to use them individually instead of for everybody ??

If you want to replace e.g axis knifes, you first of all need a new model, and then a plugin that changes the clients view model and precache them. Putting them on your server will not give you anything. Putting them in your own steam folder will change yours...

Does this lead to ; "Then why not just precache them so people will download them, and see them?" Well that will also change view models when ever, who ever, downloaded the models open there game, unless the go in and delete them...

Doing the models is one thing, making them show up is another... I hope someone will give you an example how to replace a view model, it isnt that big a deal really. I stopped codeing for others then myself, when the mastermind behind fagjunkys.com/ (http://fragjunkys.com/) started crying about free software he from this site, but thats another story...

that plug in is for cs but will it work in dod now remember im not a tech for maps or plug ins just a wannabe techie lol
