no sound on connection

I had to re do my steam so i deleted everything except some files like bsp files wad files but got rid of everything else now since i re did everything every time i connect to my server i have no sound on my connection plug in any ideas on how i can fix it ?? i also get a message that the server failed in downloading my connection songs , i thought if i downloaded my sound file from server and put it in my dod folder that would solve the problem but to no avail

I'm guessing that you put them into the wrong folder. What you probably need to think about is other users. i.e If I join your server how do I download your sound files ?
do you have them on fastdownload or not. If not then I suggest that you add them.

everything is in fastdownload and yes everybody else can hear my songs except me ??
