Hi, I have noticed some players on my server keep disconnecting and reconnecting. I asked why and they say they get an error telling them
that they cant answer the challenge is what it keeps saying to them when they disconnect.
Any idea why this is happeneing? Its happening more often now.
thanks

that error is most likely a steam issue

Is there a fix for it? I mean I never had this happened to me at all. It usually happens to people from USA and Germany.
If its a steam issue where to look to find a fix for it?
thanks
Have a gander here at the Steam Forums (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1253005). If this doesn't work (which has been proven to work for me and many others)...
Im not sure if it's this error but sometimes the VAC server can't be reached which disconnects people as well. IF that is the case you might want to think about disabling VAC for a short while.

I downloaded the file and its a .cmd file. Is says to place it where steam.exe but I'm running a server so should I put it in the server FTP main directory or on my local drive where dod is installed? (i dont know how this would help players on server do they all have to download this file and put it in their directories?)
What if I turned VAC off, what is the consiquences of doing this? will this make my server open for hackers?
thanks
Its not for your server but for the disconnecting clients. Since the new GUI update a lot of people have experienced disconnecting clients and while getting disconnected
they have a gander at many different disconnecting messages.
So what you want to find out is if those people are disconnecting because of their or because of your server. If it's the client, give them that file but better yet, just let them place steam priority to high in process explorer.
As for turning VAC off....if people get disconnected because they cant be authenticated or whatever it's called, you cut turn VAC off for a day and see if that helps, if it does you can turn VAC on and hope Steam fixes their shit. If not, there is another problem....try turning plugins off and see if they give you trouble.
