If this has already been done could someone give me a link. I would like to get a working landmine plugin on our realism servers it would be even better if you could possible attach the mine to a wall with a trip wire is this possible?

I've attached the dod_landmine plugin I made.

It was the first plugin I ever made, so it's not 100% efficient and it's based off of Zor's smokegrenades plugin. It works though, and it's fun.

Put the models in the /models directory

It uses the same cvars as the smokegrenades plugin (like I said, my first one :-P)

If you really like this plugin I'll recode it a bit to improve it. Should also check out diamond's explosives plugin (timed not proximity)

I tried this out thanks for the fast response It does not seem to work right in amxmodx 1.76a when I would try to deploy with the left mouse button it would deploy and I would hold the left mouse button down for the detonator but as soon as I release the button it would put it away and it was gone.

I for one would love to see this developed. Maybe even assigned to a class. Like the zooka... He is limited in his firepower anyway, would be nice to have it finished up for 1.76+

Be the rocket class, grab your "grenade" - you'll have two different types so pick the one that looks like a landmine.

Prone.

Click.

Run.

Hey,


Well i had all ready looked in the SMA file, and u tryed those commands awhile back but it seems to not work! is it because i am useing it with AMX-X 1.76A?

It says the plugin is running, i can toggle the plugin on and off with the commands but i just cant deploy the land mines! help any one?

everytime i try to use this plugin and then i lay down nothing happens.
i drop my gun all i see is my gun nuthing elce.
and yes i pout it in the right spot and yes i did pout it in plugins.ini and it seays its running and nuthing happends.

I have the landmines installed and they work , though I have been told that since installing the plugin , the server has been crashing around 6 times an hour when it was crashing at all.

how do I check to see whats causing the crashes ?

Server logs maybe, or have HLSW running and check the console tab and read what it says when the server crashes. Otherwise I'm not too sure.

I turned off the landmines and the server hasnt crashed since.

I`d like to know why it does it though.

its a Linux box , ,maybe that has somthing to do with it.

My clan members said they worked great , right up ti`ll they would crash the server.

could just be from messing with creating/removing entities.. sometimes it doesnt like it.. tho i dont have any specific reasons as to what or why..

ive been REALLY struggling with my dod_gore_custom plugin.. ive had an update thats like 6 months old.. and no matter what I do.. i cant seem to figure out why it keeps crashing the server (or more often.. dumping everyone while the server stays up)

ive reverted huge sections back to the previous released (and working) version and it still happens.. and for the longest time.. it would only crash my dedicated linux server.. but lately its been causing crashes even on a local win32 LAN server.. and it seems to happen even if i turn off all the parts of the plugin so its not even doing anything.. tho now that i think of it.. i should probably put metamod into debug mode and logging on so hopefully something will get sent to the logs (cause otherwise when it crashes, quite often right to the desktop, either nothing seems to be in the console or i cant look because dod closed)

I believe their is an issue with the remove_entity native.. this is the current reason I have disabled the smoke/fire nades on my server in favor of rewriting the plugin (still draggin my feet)

well see its wierd.. i really used to think that was part of the problem.. but i dont have any trouble with my smoke grenade plugin, or throw rocks.. or my animal plugins.. lol go figure

well, may or may not be true (works PERFECT in my medic plugin) but I think it is all in its usage ... which is why I am going to rewrite my own plugin using the medic plugin as a guide (and your plugins as well !!)

just for laughs ( since I had upgraded to 1.76d amxx ) I turned the land mines back on , and they crashed the server right away.

I have drop nades and throw rocks as well , but I think its the drop nades and a problem between that and the land mines...since drop nades , uses the same coding or cvars as , smoke grenades.

anyway...just a little update to say...land mines still crash my server as soon as someone uses them.

I know this is a really old thread and it's not my intention to revive old threads but I would like to give this plugin a go. The only problem is that I can't get it to work.

I put everything in the right places, the plugin is running and everything is in place. The only problem when I select a bazooka class on allies (I left the entire CVAR's as default as provided in the *.sma file).

Could someone perhaps find it in their hearts to give me some pointers on what to do?

Im really sorry for double posting. I didn't see an edit button anywhere. I know this section is not really for plugin support or a section which is really supported. Anyways I got the plugin working right now, only issue is that once trying to set up a mine a just throws an axis grenade and it explodes like an axis grenade.

Any idea what could be wrong? It's kinda weird cause I looked at the *.sma file and it loads up a p_landmine and a w_landmine but yet it picks a p_ and v_ file from the axis nade.

Hope you guys can help me out, thanks in advance.

Wilson, is there a way to edit this entirely so it does not use the smokegrenades as a reference? I know you probably dont want to do this.. but if you tell me what exactly needs to be done, I will do it.
