Help With Psychostats

Alrite I've gotten Psychostats for a few days but I'm wondering how to get the maps to show pictures beside them. Is it actually possible in the first place? Also it there supposed to be a picture for the following things.............. K43Butt, Rock, Tackle, stickgrenade_ex and handgrenade_ex

the k43butt i copied and renamed the garandbutt image
the grenade ones, i did the same with the normal grenade pictures...

I have made an image for the rock.. just was going to post it once i posted an update to the plugin, but you can right click and save them off my psychostats page if you want

and theres no tackle icon yet

as for the map images.. not sure if the dod images come with the stats or not, but im pretty sure they're some on the pstats webpage on like the addons/contribs download section i believe..

i think ive got at least a few of the map pictures (not many custom map ones) on my stats as well.. but some of them i use the dod source pics (cause they look good lol) and others I have made the shots myself...

but there are a few websites ive found thru google that have tons of map thumbnails etc..

Yeah I had thought about your site when I posted this and I had looked at your stats and seen the images but didn't think I could click them and save them lol I didn't think of trying either.

a large majority of some of the older popular custom and default map pics are avaialbel as a download from www.psychostats.com (http://www.psychostats.com) ... my stats page ( http://stats.76ad.com ) has alot of them plus a few I found here or there... simply "grab" them from my stats page, or any other stats page that has a map image you want and upload them to your stats folder... there are folders for each individual type of pics (weapon, map,avatars,etc) so put the right file type pic in the right folder and the code on the stats page does the rest of the work...

Adding a "custom" weapon pick is as simple as adding a pic with the weapons name as the file name to the proper folder... again see my stats to see the Katana image I made for the samurai plugin I have (ninja port) ...

you put them in the right place.... when you view your stats page it doesn't show the images now ??

I looked, no images yet, I am trying to remember, you might need to "reinstall" the specifc part of the install that deals with map images...

oh ok, upon further investigation I found the map images you are using are gifs...

while you can edit the stats map page "template" to allow for gifs, I think it would be easier to rename the images as gifs and go that route, but by all means try changing the stats map template page if you know how to... (not hard really, BUT if you do NOT know what you are doing you WILL break the page)

I only realised that I've screwed up the stats. It won't update at all now. I knew I shouldn't have done that. CCCCRRRRRRAAAAAAPPPPPP

I dunno I just added the maps and the guns with the names under it thats all.

I've spoken to my provider and he just told me that it happens when 2 people use it at the same time or something and now has to do the stats again.

well ya that means too many people are connected to your stats db and the update cant connect to it..

and the host saying its when 2 ppl are connected.. if they mean the limit is at 2, thats pretty low... i think mines like 25 or 50.. but that number might not really be what the limit is set at...

so that would mean (i believe) that at least 2 ppl (going by what your host said) are clicking links (or something else is connected to the db.. like say also maybe if you have a server plugin that does) that are calling for information out of the database.. but normally.... people are only calling the db really quickly, like on clicking a new link, and it loads and disconnects....

I used to get those errors on my old host, but it was for my forum..


and some more info, tho i dont know how relavent it is, as these probably arent active people... but when i log into my pstats admin thingy.. it usually says theres between 10-20 people online... but i believe this also says its activity over the last 15mins.. not sure...


one thing tho that you could try, no idea if it would do anything.. but ive read about it when i was looking for solutions when i had these problems...but what you might be able to do is create a new user (thru phpmyadmin or whatever you might have to access the db stuff) and assign that user to the db and whatnot.. and use that account for the updates.. I think it has to do with some hosts have limits on max connections per user and they look at each specific user as a different user instead of looking at them as being all from one main user...

another thing, is check if your stats have persistent connection on and turn it off (i believe you can.. at least i think.. might be hidden somewhere tho, pretty sure i remember doing it on mine)

Alrite I fixed the problem. I put it back into the website and it's grand now. Updating and everything and I also have my 2 servers on it aswell :) Thanks for the help guys

Alrite I'm just after noticing a little problem with the players changing the name and stuff as it doesn't save the name changes. Anyone help me with that one? Sorry I robbed that from your stats Diamond and thats your stats seeing as your on top :P

No problem. I think the 2.1 version is the theme that it's using. I am pretty sure I had put in the correct and up-to-date one. Also does anyone know what to do with a error like this.....

It's showing 5 people on but there actually isn't 5 people and it only shows times but they all or 0:00:00 or whatever. It's really annoying I've been trying to fix it for ages. Anyone have any advice

Also it's not really psychostats related but is anybody having the CL_FlushEntityPacket Error in-game cause I'm getting it on every server I go onto and I've been on Diamonds server and some other servers cause I wanted to see if it was server related but I guess not. Anyone help with this aswell??

in your stats.cfg file is a setting for "listing" players by a certain "type" generally it is set to "most"....


primaryplrname = most
PS >= 2.1
Specifies what 'name' should be used in the stats when players have multiple aliases found. If 'most' is set, an extra compilation phase will be run when stats are updated to set the most used name for the player. When 'first' is used the FIRST name ever seen for a player is the name that they will be displayed as in the stats. This does not require a special compilation phase.
Valid options include 'most' and 'first'.

if you have admin access to your database you could hack the number of "uses" each name OR in stats admin you can lock a players name to a steam id...

well if 2.1 didnt show all of the players names.. then using the 2.1 theme on 2.3 wouldnt show it either as it wouldnt be coded into the theme...

not sure why the server view works for one server and not the other...

you could try:
sv_enableoldqueries 1on it and see if it works after that...

i cant totally remember what 'CL_FlushEntityPacket' is caused by exactly (and i dont feel like looking lol) but i would guess its caused by not being able to handle all the information the server is sending you... I havent got it myself in probably 6months or more...
