I would like to see a plugin where you could load your own MODT type .bmp or .jpg and have it appear when you log onto the server...it could say "whatever you decide" and the pluing would load the file from say....dod folder or where ever you guys decide.

I know I can make my own MODT and load it and have the server look for it on a website...but I have run into problems with this....Reliable channle overflow kicking or pop up adds if the website that the modt is hosted is cheap or even , it just doesnt work properly.

an amx_plugin that you could load your own graphic and have it show up on everyones screen untill they close it either by clicking an X or by hitting a key....would make my life and i`m sure everyone elses a lot easyier.

thanks

well..
a little note...

its MOTD not MODT :-P Message Of The Day

:-P

but im not sure there'd be anyway to catch the connecting motd window and change it thru amxx, at least i dont know it (tho theres probably a msg or event called for it) but i would still assume that you'd have to have the image hosted somewhere..

you have to point your MOTD to a website...if the website has low security , the players get popups in game , thanks to the hosting.

if you put to much info into your MOTD , thats when the reliable chat over flow thing kicks you out of the game ( dod_kalt ) especially.

I was looking for a plugin that would put up its own image ( not the MOTD ) , but a seperate image that can be for rules or whatever.

eg: they would close the MOTD and there would be the rules or whatever loaded by the plugin and at that point , they would have to close that.

well if you want, since motd's dont take up huge chunks of space.. i can host it on my site for you if you want.. otherwise i cant really think of any other way to have a picture in the motd window

I can host it on my site.....but have no clue what the code is to point the motd at it... :(

oh and it doesnt have to be in the motd window...just pop up at the begining of each persons log onto the server...it can load all by its lonesome after they join.

There is all you need in the motd.txt

Cheers!

I don't know if this helps or is usefull, or if I can post this here, but I used this a while back. Perhaps some one can modify the code to there liking.
