Ok everyone, Im thinking on creating an accuracy module for DoD, you can see here is one that was done for DoD Source, so I wana make one for DoD.

Definately interested. I loved the proDoD for source even though I hate source lol.
Will def. pick it up and run it when its released.

Absolutely. I have always had dreams of making something like this just thought it would be too much CPU usage to code in AMXX.

I can do this in a plugin now. I've determined a very efficient way of determining accuracy based on distance.
Just need the #s, such as "k98 at 50 yards is offset by #"

I have a k98/garand/enfield...can't really tell just from shooting it.
I have the code for this - remind me and I'll post it up when I get home...I have lost interest because I realised day of defeat already has a cone of fire system, and the distances in the game really aren't that far...basically realised it's already implemented.
But I'll post it up if I remember.

your a god if you do this Zor because the dod community has been needing this ever since the dod dev team lied to us and said DODS was going to be a direct port. :(>
If i can help in any way please let me know. I currently have a 3gig dual xeon and 3.2 gig P4 at the ready. ;) In march i'm starting up my GSP and new gaming league and then i'll have ten dual zeons that you can use as you see fit.

I don't know if this will be of any help.. However, the other day I seen a plugin that shows the distance when shot. Might be of use?

Just haven't had any time to work on this. What I want to do is first clean up the code for dodx and dodfun, put parts of dodx and dodfun together and take out dodstats to make 2 modules again, but one is stats. That would clean up the code alot. However thats alot of work, and so! After that is done, and or while I am doing that, I want to add hooking functions for the dod.dll which I have come to find out isn't verrrry hard! Hhehehe....however it aint easy either. Soooo....things to do. And I can't stop playing CoD4 online! Hhehehe...

I miss the WON days before they changed all the balances, hitboxes and accuracy, version before the last WON Valve update ver 3.1?.
I would try this if it put it back something like that. The rifles however are plenty accurate I think, maybe the garand needs a little help.

I can't stand source, because I couldn't hit anything, and would last about a minute out of spawn!
Once we put the uber rifle on our reg dod server, I can honestly say that it's perfect as is!
Did the plan about this module die?? IMO this module would be really great for dod. Over all i think pbl is dropping dod cuz the acc is so bad..
Haven't had time or motivation to work towards this. I have the code, however the problem is that I don't have access to most of the stuff in the code for original dod. Have to create a dod module that will allow access to the original functions located in the dod.dll and client.dll and that will involve alot of work, time, effort, all of which I am lacking at the moment!

There are alot of functions, and I have to create a hook for each, however I have to learn to hook them first and then test that with linux and windows. Once thats done, then I can slowly hook all the functions that I can. It will take time. If you look at the CStrike Hacks:

You can see how they are doing it for CS, however I need to learn it and then implement it. This will come and it will allow us to do alot more with dod. What would be nice is if dod devs released an sdk, and or just a header file and a library file for the old game.
