Large influx in cheaters

Over the last week I have had to ban 4 guys from my server and missed another 6 or so.

there must be a new public hack out and everyone is trying it to see if it works.

how do I know these people were cheating ?

dod_invisibility that`s how.

I would turn myself invisible and just sit behind a tree or in a room or anywhere I knew there would be no reason for anyone to be , I wouldnt shoot or make any noise , just sit.

I have had a good 10 people in the last week , who would shoot me while I was sitting there invisi-fied and even better yet , run in the room , empty a clip into me and run off.

so...just keep it in mind when you guys are admining your servers , there must be a new toy out for every other nub to try.

Problem is it isnt n00bs whom are doing this....its cheaters who have been cheating forever. Remember this game isn't as pop as it use to be. Its like CS now with the amount of cheaters out. Someone says he is a CS player and thats why he is so good at DoD, I just ban his ass, cause there is NO comparison between em...he is most likely a cheater.

BTW, is their a difference between the dod_invisibility plugin and the AimBot Detector plugin?

I totally agree with Zor and box, but I think that tigerman also has a valid point. I think the CS'ers got DOD for Xmas or something. They are here HEAVY and they have brought cheats with them... I have seen a large influx lately and am just about tired of it already lol.

DOD_invisibility makes you completely invisible and it takes away your footsteps as well.

so when someone says they saw you...HA ! or they heard you double HA !

I had one guy stand there and look at me for a bit , turned away , then turned back and shot me while I was invisible , so I asked him about it , and it went like this.

cheater " I have had this game since the begining and I know all the tricks "
me " is one of those tricks being able to see people who are invisible ?"
cheater " You were clear on my screen "
me "amx_ban "cheater" 0 [esp cheater]

and while I was at it , I allways check thier steam id to see how long they have been playing , I see a 4 or 5 digit 0:0 ID , I`m okay with them when they own the crap out of me , I see a 9 digit 0:1 ID and they are gone right away....especially when they say... "I`m in CAL/I" or "I play CS and it makes me better at DOD"

I thought I was only one who heard those excuses LOL guess not !

oh this BS cal crap is all too common on my server... it is the end all be all excuse for improper behavior... as if being IN cal excuses players from acting the way they do...

Yeah well there is no more CAL for dod 1.3 from what I hear...so n00bs saying that shit...hehehe...yeah I'm since the begining player...I was playing 1.1 beta with bleeding and all back when they had the k43 sniper rifle, auto and no wandering crosshair! LOVED it, still got it...anyone wana get pawned! Heheheh

I have, but it was random fire while I was between someone and another...should try staying still in one place where ppl would expect you to be but you arn't, but you are...heheheh

yeah this explains it , 3 new hacks on 1 website since dec.21 and a total of 1,200+ downloads of those 3 hacks....and thats just the downloads ,that doesnt take into consideration how many of those kids passed it to their buddies.

another 500+ downloads from another cheat site of the same cheat.

and HOLY :eek: 10,361 downloads on 1 hack
and ACK ! 23,429 on the other hack

no wonder there has been a huge influx of cheaters !

and I was right in my thinking , the 23K downloaded hack has , entity glow,player glow and target lights....so that would explain how they are shooting people who are invisible. :mad:


I try to keep track of the cheat sites , so I know when to pay better attention....I guess this should be an eye opener to every admin who reads these forums....pay extra attention to the game play , untill VAC can update and toss these morons.

Sounds like the AimBot Detector and DoD Invisibility do the same exact thing, because it also takes away your footsteps while you are invisible. Unless they do something else different I'd say they are two of a kind.

I was unaware of how aimbot detector works...hmmmmm...and I have it loaded on my server....i might need to give it a peak...and see what the commands are.

Well in the past 4 days we have had 10+ cheaters in our DOD:S server as well , everything from wallhacks to aimbots and even speedhacks.

why would someone use a speedhack ? that`s the easyest cheat to spot...I mean...sheeeeesh...

so yeah...dod:s has it just as bad as dod 1.3 , sept now the CAL dod 1.3 have no place to play and are taking out their frustration so it would seem on dod pubs.

oh yeah... CAL canceld their dod 1.3 season due to , to many inactive teams. so it's official , no more dod 1.3 in cal.

I don't get cheating. It's like an admission, "I suck and I'll never do anything but suck unless I get help..." Then there is the problem of having to buy a new account after you get caught, because you will eventually get caught, no matter how good at cheating you are... Kids aren't very bright are they? I'm glad I wasn't that stupid when I was young... ya right... ;)

And ya, I do get cheating, but it still isn't very bright...

Hello guys I am a new server admin but have been playing DOD since the old bleeding days etc lol. Where do i get this invisibility and can anyone walk me through the installation? I get as far as compiling the sma file then it never works, I have noticed a lot of the same things you guys have, I am CAL, I always fire at that spot, I heard you, I always no-scope from a mile away lol.. DOD used to be a great game where most people I know HAD to earn skills not DL them.

once you compile the sma

you drop the compiled amxx version into your plugins folder

at that point you add the name of the plugin to your amxx.cfg like this
dod_invisibility 1 <---that turns it on

then in game . you type ( i bound it to 2 keys )

invisibility on

and

invisibility off

that way I can toggle back and forth to catch people.

the first time you get shot invisible by someone that you "thought" was L33T , you`ll be sad , but very happy at the same time.

I caught 2 guys on my server that I thought were GODS at DoD , man how dissapointed I was in them , after 5 years of playing with them and thinking how great they were at the game....turns out they were just cheaters who were great at blending their hacks.
