Hi all,
I present to you DoD Connection for AMX Mod X 1.75 or higher.

INFOS :

This plugin have several options.

1. Custom music connexion.
2. Automatic stopsound.
3. A welcom message when client put in server.
4. The plugin say when a member and a admin join the server. (voice)
5. Post the rules on the server when the client put in serveur.
It is possible of log the answer “accept” so that the client does not have to do it any more.
6. Admin Custom Skins.
7. BelMod : add a grenade to everyone on spawn.
8. Restrict Names Manager.
9. Tag ProtectionMODULES REQUIRE :

- <dbi> (just if you have actived the sql mod)CVAR :
- amx_con_music < 0 - 1 > (Enable or desable custom music connection)

- amx_con_regles (Post the rules to everyone during the games)

INSTALL :
1. Compile the sma file with the amxmodx 1.75 minimum
2. Put the amxx file in the plugins folder
3. Add the line dod_connection.amxx in the plugins.ini
4. Edit the rules.txt and put it in the configs folder
5. Put the dictionary file dod_connection.txt in the lang folder
6. Put the sound pack in dod folder
7. Put the models pack in models/player folder
8. Reboot the server.

You can edit the .sma file in order to change the folder and the name of the filesCHANGE LOGS :

erm i have a problem i cant seem to turn off the admins join sound it keeps comin back on :( i have changed it in the amx.cfg and every thing but still no change can some 1 shed some light on this problem please

Why are clients not all seeing the admin skins? We appear white to them. I see the other admins fine.... WTF?

Help please.

Also it is a very nice plugin, but it has issues. In addition to the skins thing, it wont consistantly play music for admjoin, it wouldnt stop playing that annoying bow to me wav... It got to the point that since there was no way to control this, I deleted the sound file from my computer and the servers folder to stop it, but anyone else who has already dloaded this will have to keep hearing that.... Not cool.

I also do not appreciate that you put a content hosted by KRYPT.com game servers thing into the code, although were that came into the code, I have yet to see. If this was not your coding, then I apologize. I just do not think that my game server provider would appreciate the reverse advertising, so I thought I would mention this before someone else does.

Please rework this plugin to include more user friendly options. I like the cvars, but with what you have going and the lack of control for the user, I do not think that the good will outweigh the bad.

I have found a small bug, the variable amx_con_message does not exist, this is the correct one, amx_con_mess.

Also I have the following problem, I update my skin and I raise it the servant. Plugin unloads the archives correctly mdl.

With the following code with himself that the archives mdl unload, but in the end he does not work and the soldiers see themselves in target.

I get this message in the game console when i load the game i dont know what it means

[AMXX] Plugin "dod_connection.amxx" failed to load: Module/Library Class "xstats" required for plugin. Check modules.ini.

Nice plugin.
I get the rules to show but only a 1. shows at the bottom.
No except or decline shows. But they do work if you hit 1 your in if you hit 2 it kick you.

Also who is considered a member, how does it know. Admins I guess its looking at the user.ini file.

Is this correct for turning on rules. amx_con_regles 1 // (Post the rules to everyone during the games)


13: amx_con_regles : < authid , nick , @team ou #userid > Afficher les regles a tout le mond,,,, this is from amx_help, what does it mean?

It looks like its adding 1.Accept now as maps change. Also the 2. is showing but no decline.

This works great for my server. The "connect" song plays at the beginning but I would like to have it play a different one in the beginning. I simply renamed a song I like too "connect" but it wouldn't work. LOL. How can I have it play a song of my choice at the beginng or any other time?
Any help would be greatly appreciated men.

1 make sure you have spelt the file name corect to how the plugin creator has spelt connect

2 make sure that the file is mp3

i simply just renamed an old mp3 i had laying around n now it plays on my server....

Thx 4 the fast answer but i compiled it with this compiler:

should be 1.75?!
Or is the plugin only running on 1.75??

Edit: I compiled it with Version 1.7.6 an got still this error Message:

Ps. I am running version 1.7.1!!

You need to RUN at least 1.75 to use it as well

because compiling it with 1.75+ includes doesnt do any good if your server isnt able to recognize the natives

what is your clan or server name ? It is possible to do, takes some finesse, but you can make vox say anything with some patience...

Going a bit off topic but does anyone know of a good source for custom sounds, the plugin is great but being British the French join message is irritating. Just looking for a plain old "welcome to the server".

I've heard them on Source servers ( sorry for swearing just then! lol ).

wavs, and mp3s, have to be in a specific audio format and of a certain quality to even play....

let me see if I have it right...

MP3 - 44 or 48khz 2-channel (STEREO)

wav - 8bit 11 or 22khz 1-channel (MONO)

hello

i can't stop the rules view when i go to an over map. the rules log write a lot of steamid but the rules when the map change must be revalidate???

Going a bit off topic but does anyone know of a good source for custom sounds, the plugin is great but being British the French join message is irritating. Just looking for a plain old "welcome to the server".

If you have fast downloads, and want to hear a sound or very shot music intro to play when your motd pops up, add this line to your motd.html, in your sv_downloadurl folder. It will play MP3 format, just put the music on the server and the fast download sight in the same folders.

You want to add this line to your motd.html:

<NOEMBED>
<BGSOUND src="http://www.xxxxxxxxxx.com/sv_downloadurl/sound/blahblah.mp3">
</NOEMBED>

did you put the language file on?

but ontop of that i noticed an error with the plugin/lang file...

the plugin calls this: PROB_ADD_RESTRICT_NAME
but the lang file has: PROB_ADD_RESTRICT

Hi guys, I just wanted to say I love this pluggin but having some problems, I have it all setup correct but I can't get the "message" music to turn off when you join the server, also the player models are showing up white...

when I 1st added this pluggin to the server, the server was downloading all the models {3mb+} for every cilent that connected...

I found another bug when trying this out, when a member joined my server with the .::LTG::. tag but I didn't give him the flag, it would kick him from the server but then it says he has joined the server when he has not join the server if you get what I mean, I will post the logs

You can see that Rimski is trying to connect but when he gets kicked, it says he has left the server and then says joined the server and he is not even in the server lol... anybody know about this..

You can see that Rimski is trying to connect but when he gets kicked, it says he has left the server and then says joined the server and he is not even in the server lol... anybody know about this..

Ok to change the song look for these lines of code in the sma file
mbr_connect
};

// Custom sounds in sound folder
new const g_SonsList[sons][128] = {
"connection/connect.mp3",
"connection/message.wav",
"connection/adjoin.wav",
"connection/mbjoin.wav"

This line is the one you want

connection/connect.mp3",

Change where is says connect.mp3 to what you want you sound to be .mp3

i have put this mod on my server the music works and the rules thing works somewhat but no admin skins i am not sure i did it all correctly but any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated

Having problems with this one, if anyone could help. First off, I have the welcome sound disabled in CVARS and furthermore DID NOT UPLOAD any sounds to my server, in fact I didn't dl the sound pack, yet I'm still hearing a voice when I enter the server now. Why?

Only one rule is showing up. I have 12. #12 is showing up and then accept or refuse. Also, if you choose refuse it doesn't kick you.

you proberbly have the sounds from another server. If you just want a plugin that shows the server rules go to allied modders search.. overall this plugin is pretty buggy i think

Whats a DBI file, and how do you put it into the directories?

Sorry I'm new to this, but its pretty easy. The only thing that makes it hard is for putting in the DBI files, when I don't see them in any folder.

There are 2 sma files. 1 for database use dod_connection_dbi.sma and other without database. dod_connection.sma
I suggest you compile and install the one without DBI (dod_connection.sma) and just follow the simple install instructions below.

INSTALL :
Quote:
1. Compile the sma file with the amxmodx 1.75 minimum
2. Put the amxx file in the plugins folder
3. Add the line dod_connection.amxx in the plugins.ini
4. Edit the rules.txt and put it in the configs folder
5. Put the dictionary file dod_connection.txt in the lang folder
6. Put the sound pack in dod folder
7. Put the models pack in models/player folder
8. Reboot the server.

You can edit the .sma file in order to change the folder and the name of the files

is it possible to play random mp3s? I have some diffrend mp3 in the folder and i want to play to each connection (after Mapchange) an other mp3 not always the same.

Is there a chance to do it or not?

I installed the plugin on our windows gameserver
Running AMXMODX v1.8.1.3746 and MetaMod v1.19
The plugin works fine... but the Rules displayed is messed up...
There is a 'y' DoD Conection 0.9.5:
A 'w' in front of the 1st rule
A 'y' and 'w' in the Accept
and a 'r' and 'w' in the Refuse
see screenshot below...

Any ideas on how to correct this?

The letters are commands to change the color of the menu text. But not all mods support colored menus. Most coders will add a colored_menus() function to check for compatible mods. You'll need to go through that display subroutine and delete references to \y \r and \w.
