Simple request, could someone make the plugin that finishes what someone obviously intended to be a part of the game... a playable mortar class.
Premise is simple. Sort of like the bazooka class, but a player lugs around a mortar. It is obviously no melee weapon, and thus a player would be playing back from a distance. But it could be one of two things.... something that has to be "aimed" at a location and fired, but has to be deployed to fire. Or it is a "team" weapon, where teammates can call upon fire at their location... the mortar user would call up a "menu" that lists players on his/her team, and any fired mortar, would be "aimed" at that location the person was standing once the "coordinates" are set (see teleport location setting).
I like the idea of having to manually aim it, but I can forsee a larger programming task ahead for that type of action, whereas the menu version would probably be easier to program, and easier to use overall....
Later "updates" could include the need to have an "ammo" man... one would deploy/fire mortar, other would reload/"aim" (enforce team work)
another inventive idea is to incorporate the use of the overview map. players could flag locations and call out cardinal directions from there.. and the mortar player would "click" on his large map and the mortar would fire in that general location....
