I understand that Zor has pretty much been entrusted as the maintainer of Firestorm's code for his plugins, but as it stands, there are a few of them out there that pretty much need and deserve the attention of multiple developers out there that can more efficiently make/suggest changes. nnMy proposal is very simple, make all of Firestorm's plugins more of a DoD Dev Team plugins where suggestions of revisions of the code are welcomed and accepted from all (i.e. raphyx translations as one example) but the DoD Dev Team have the final say in what code is good for each plugin and have Diamond Optic & Zor be the people that impliment the changes and set new releases.nnI'm sure if these plugins were approached with as much of an open source mentality as possible and welcomed collaborative efforts, we would be that better off with the state of some of his plugins and in the end, set an example of the kind of collaboration we expect and encourage from our guests and Devs.nnWhat do you all think? (hopefully Zor will read this soon)

well i think what its kinda been lately.. is that if you want to update/maintain one of firestorms plugins.. then go for it.. I believe i did that with 1 or 2 of them.. cant remember lol.. tho i dont know if thats been made clear to everyone on the dev team or whatnot..nnsome/alot of his plugins do need some work.. or at least updating to new methods brought about by recent amxx versions..nnthe only problem is most of us are already busy with our own stuff.. and stuff outside of writing plugins.. to be able to spend time on firestorms old work..nntho we should probably select like the most popular ones or ones that need work to fix bugs or whatever.. and get them corrected

Rgr...I was under the same impression...that if there was one you wanted to take over go ahead and do it.n nRight now work has been kicking my ass so I havent even had time to update my own plugins or my servers.n nIn a few weeks work should quiet back down for me and I can get back to scripting. At that time if there are any plugins that need work I can surely do it.

Well, a while back when Raphyxzaoiuqelkeqna;kh first started to try and take over Firestorm's [need to find PLUGIN NAME] I told him I didnt know where we stood with that but was ready to make him the new maintainer of it and Zor had a shit fit with him and sent him a very stern but, straight forward, email /pm (can't remember) saying that Zor is the maintainer for all of Firestorm's plugins and re-iterated what we had already told Raph before about small changes NOT equalling a new plugin. nnWell anywho, because of that, I never really knew if Firestorm's plugins were really up for grab or not. Irregardless because I KNOW that you all are pressed with your own stuff to really grab one of his old ones and be the new maintainer of it, I thought it'd be best then to have it as an open venture for all to help out with and post fixes but only Zor and Diamond can make the changes posted in the plugin's thread by the contributors to the SMA and upload the new versions. This way the burden doesn't fall on one person to do any one thing. Only on either Zor or Diamond to collect all the good suggested code changes and upload a new version of the SMA and then truly these plugins will be DoD Dev Team plugins you know?n

no lie.nWell I have access to the FTP server but no SSH so I can't help install a CVS repository or SVN. I'm thinking about hosting a SVN server at my house for my personal use and my clan's so if nothing larger comes up that we can host on Zor's site, then I'll think about opening up my personal SVN for you guys.nnBut we digress. Lets get back to the subject at hand.

that'd be great. We are like the red-headed step-children of AMXX... yah everyone knows were around, and we get acknowledged every now and then... but in the end, DoD is just not a central point for AMXX.nnAnywho... let us know what he says.
