Hello, I posted a thread in this chat about preventing hacks and cheats, but now it's deleted?

some nice fellow took offense to someone calling sizzer a hacker, which by looking at his VAC ban status you can clearly see he is.nnsaid nice fellow is an admin and didnt take kindly to this action. hence the editing of my posts and deletion of said thread.

Anyway I was talking about how there seems to be ever increasing amount of cheaters in the game, and asking what can be done to prevent it, both amx and other methods? :) If anyone has inputs, don't hesitate

its not hard to tell if someone is cheating, what you mentioned you said you considered blatant, so just spec the people and ban them.rnrnanother thing you can do is check if they have been banned from anywhere else, try this link out..rnrnhttp://www.legit-proof.com/rnrnrnand last but not least check and see if they have previous vacbans on their account.rnrnif they do it will look like thisrnhttp://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197962675948rnrnrnrnwhat youre looking for is the orange writing that says ban(s) on record. this means you should just ban them immediately, like any respectful clan/unit leader would.

I checked out www.steambans.com , which is based on (as far as I can see) implementing worldwide banlists on all servers that install the plugin. Theyve banned around 30'000 id's. However I did a search on an ID that I knowhas been on the VAC list and it wasn't banned, so I guess it's not complete.rnrnLosing motivation, is there nothing that can be done completely

Well i dont know if you saw my post in the missing thread. But there is a plugin for CS that make most wallhacks harmless. It will take alot of work to convert it for DoD, and it will be a heavy bitch for servers to run, but ill give it a try in 14 days or so, when i get more spare time.nn- Cheers

I didn't see that, no. That sounds very interesting though, do you have the name or link for that one? I wish I knew some programming languages so I could look into it myself, but I don't.

The last thread was deleted because 9/10's of it was two people sniping back and forth about who is a hacker instead of being productive about the discussion. This one almost started back on the track of the last, however thx to Dr.G it got BACK on track. I will leave this one here, unless we start getting some more sniping.rnrnPlease keep it relevent to DoD Plugins, not to your individual clans, or servers, and such.rnrnHope everyone knows what I mean.
