Exe version 1.1.2.6/Stdio (dod)rnExe build: 16:56:12 Mar 8 2010 (4883)
rnrnHas anyone else noticed new issues with dod since this update on the 8th.rnrnI noticed connection issues over the past couple of days. We will be playing a map and then change to a new map. Then people are not reconnecting to the server as they should. Actually, you get the "establishing connection to the server" message with an empty loading bar.rnrn
I have also noted bot issues with servers using linux. The server will fail to restart after the update has been applied if you have bots on your server. I know bots suck but I do have bots on my server when the clients are low. However, if I am correct and this new build prevents the bots dll file from executing correctly then any server who might use bots will crash and have to have the server files corrected to remove the bots from use.
rnrnThis was FIXED with a patch for Linux servers.

rnrnI've had the same issue on our server. As a matter of fact, I thought maybe it was just something in my own network connection, so after sitting there for a moment and not seeing the bar fill-up, I disconnected and re-connected with no problem.rnrnAs far as the bots are concerned, we have bots on our server but I hadn't noticed any issue with them.

Yea sorry about the bots. I did note a linux update on all my servers which lead to the belief steam has altered the linux files related to HL1. There was a server I was setting up a test on that required a patch for bots. I was worried because before I found out about the patch that My main server was going to be a problem with bots. So that will be removed out of my main topic.... lol. FIXED bot issues.rnrnHowever the connection problems are persistent rather the title of this topic is wrong or not. Something either with steam connections or some other update has received many complaints in my servers.

Probably obvious and already tried but run a clean install (no metamod etc.) and test to see if the issue shows up. Then enable each thing metamod > amxmodx > bots and so forth one at a time to see for sure where the problem lies. nnDoing some google research on it, there is apparently a fixed binary floating around which I wouldn't trust with a ten foot pole. The other option is to revert to the previous version of hlds.
