I just managed to get myself a new server a few days ago, and I'm having problems with the built-in stats that came with amx mod x. I've tried to find a way to get it to track players by steamid, but the only things it likes to do is track by name, and it seems to reset itself in a few days. :( If someone could help, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I'm not sure I understand what you are talking about. As far as I know you just make sure the stats plugins are enabled in your plugins file, then you use something like Psychostats to parse your logs. The stats plugin only adds hit locations and damage to the logs and every log entry includes the player's steamid whether you use the stats plugin or not. Are you talking about something your host provides, such as HLStats? I've only ever used Psychostats so I don't know much about other stats engines.nnYou also need to have "log on" in your autoexec.cfg file (in your your root mod folder - dod). You should have it in there and not in your server.cfg file.

there is actual 'stats' in amxx.. where you dont need anything else.. its the normal /rank /stats /top10 kinda stuff that shows in motd windows.. or whatever.. idk i never really used it as i found it always gave me lag.. dont know much about it...nnand you say its reseting your stats? are you using 1.76c ? i thought they fixed the problem with the dod stats reseting (unless it was something else they fixed lol)

Yes, I'm using 1.76c, and every now and then it seems to reset on me. And it doesn't know half the time whether to track by name, ip, or wonID. So I have like 4 copies of myself in my rankings, and other players have been stat padding my rankings so that 1 person takes up half of my top10 list (top15 doesn't seem to work, it only seems to show top10). I've been contemplating whether or not I should just disable and scrap the included statsme in 1.76c, and downloading a 3rd party stats plugin... :(

I don't even know how to set it up. I just assumed it worked and never bothered testing it...nnedit: When I switched from Admin Mod/Statsme to AMX Mod X, I guess I never really took a look at the stats menus. I've got them set up now, and they seem to be working properly. If I have anything useful to add I'll post back...
