Im making a web for my clan and i dont know where can i get the script for a shoutbox and i also want to place members logins in the web so that only registered members to the web can use the shoutbox if anyone can help to set this up i would appreciate.

i think alot of people use a cms.. like php-nuke... but personally.. i think php nuke is trash, not to mention almost every site i see that uses php-nuke looks really ugly and loads slow.. I have been using e107 for most of my sites for a few years now.. and really like it.. tho after using it for years im also extremely comfortable with it :)

Ok i found a tutorial to install it but i got a problem when i try to create another mysql db it says ive reached the maximum database i can create and i only have one.

I have been using e107 for most of my sites for a few years now.. and really like it.. tho after using it for years im also extremely comfortable with it :)n nwow, this turned out to be a very helpful tip !! I looked into it, and since I know your site pretty well, had a good idea how it felt and navigated....n nwell... 24 hours later... I finally have my Custom DoD website up and running !!n nThanx Diamond !!

Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum allowed databases.n nthere might be a limit to the number of databases you are allowed to have, chances are it is just one and I am willing to bet it is being used by your stats page ?? If you are so lucky to get 2, might it be used for your forum ?? Last I remember gameservers/clanservers only allowed 1 or 2 databases...n nquestion is.. how many are you currently using ??

Clanservers allows 1 to my knowledge.

my clanservers cpanel says i get 2 hehehehennwhich is good cause i use them for stuff that i dont want using up the connections on my website's mysql server hehehe :Dnn

Diamond do u know if i could use the one i got, if not ill try talking with GS and see if i can get the other Db, by the way how do u unzip the e107 when it is inside the host, cause i saw the tutorial and i can DL it through the ftp and unzip it but i dont know where do i place all that commands that appear in the tut.rnrnEdit:rnSry for doble post i got laggy and refreshed and i thought it didnt post the first one.

well you *might* be able to sorta make them use the same database.. but that would be quite messy i would assume..nnand as for unzipping the stuff while on the host.. and all that.. i dont know.. i always unzipped the files locally and edited the config.. then uploaded it all, manually set permissions, and ran the install php script... i think.. i cant remember lmao im sorry its been ages since ive done a fresh install.. but i also usually do things manually as i try to know whats going on and learn 'how to do it' myself as much as possible

I did the install manually and take like 4 hours, also placed a ticket to see if gameserver is able to give me another mysql server. rnrnEdit:rnHow hard would it be if i set e107 in the mysql that is already there diamond, cause i talked with GS and they said that if i want to get another mysql server i would have to upgrade my web service.

well i believe it would be the same as using a new sql db basically.. just you'd have the tables for both things in the one db...nntho this could cause problems.. ive never done it.. but in theory i dont see why it wouldnt work...

I tried and when it is installing it says it had problems connecting to the server.

Am I right in my guess that e107 doesn't use tables?nnedit: I see I was wrong, at the very least the forums use tables. No big deal, just curious.
