;6048']I have a server and I'm kinda new with this so bear with me. Where do I put .sma files? My server control panel has the amx mod so what folder do these go in? I reallly need a response asap.n nThe .sma file is a "source" file.. it contains the text coding for the plugin. A .sma file by itself is useless except as "reference". In order to make the .sma useable you have to "compile" it which turns it into a .amxx file.n nThe .amxx file is THE plugin file, THIS is what is uploaded to the server (in addition to any ancillary files the plugin will depend on that are not "normally" in a vanilla installation) Once you have converted the .sma to .amxx and have uploaded it and any files it depends on (sometimes none at all) then you must "list" the plugin inside of a file called plugins.ini which is found in the amxmodx/configs/ folder (you will see many other plugins listed there)n nOnce you compiled the .sma, uploaded the .amxx and files, and edited the plugins.ini file you simply RESTART or REBOOT the server. If this is the "first" plugin with this name then a simple restart or mapchange will be suffecient. If you are updating a previous version of a .amxx file then SOMETIMES you must completely REBOOT the HLDS application (go to server control panel and shut OFF server, count to 5, then start the server back up)n nOnce you have compiled the .sma into a .amxx file you may then store the .sma file locally (on your pc) for future reference, or you may simply delete the file (recommended you keep it though as long as you are running the plugin, you may either want to change something someday, or the .sma contains "instructions" for usage)
