This IS an advertisement... for a "service" that is provided by a friend of mine. The premise is simple.... the more you play the more "bux" you earn ... the catch.. you run an application which "detects" when a supported game is actually played. These "bux" are similar to "tickets" or "tokens" earned in an arcade for playing certain games... after amassing a certain total you trun them in in exchange for some item... in this case the "items" are video games, peripherals, electronics, books, etc... The concept is simple if you stop for a moment and think about it. n nThere is a service where players earn points and then go to a specific website to "view" the available products for "sale". Simply viewing these products is a form of advertisement, plus the website also contain (non-obstructive) ads as well.. and instead of "charging" these vendors for advertisement space, they provide "promotional" items (items given for free in exchange for a service) and it is these items that players may "purchase". nThe good part is you do not have to pay any money out of pocket for anything, including the service... you simply do what you do best... and play games ... nothing more and nothing less... (just have the application running while you play) and then you go and "shop" and find something to work towards... and play some more... and over time this amounts to FREE STUFF .... n nCheck it out and do not simply take my word for it (although I DO personally know the owner of the company who come up with and marketed this "idea") but check out their site... and give it a shot... IT IS FREE... so really you have nothing at all to lose.. and FREE STUFF to gain.... nThink about it... this is one of those "too good to be true" type deals.. but it cost you NOTHING, now or in the future... so what have you really got to lose ??n nhttp://Jact.comn nTell them TatsuSaisei sent you... n nand by all means.. feel free to ask me about my experiences so far...(all good)

n nlol, I can sorta respect that... n nbut seriously though... it is not a scam and worthy of noting... I mean people here are OBVIOUSLY playing games... at the very least DoD, so why not pick up some freebies... and normally I wouldn't advertise for anyone else, but I DO know the guy who started it all ...

n nIts simple how it works.. you run a client app. (not a cheat or flagged as one) as you play and every minute you are credited with "bux" ... over time you accumulate a fistful of these bux and head to their "mall" and can purchase items they have there... or you can enter raffles and take a chance on things....n nGood news is one of my upper clanmates turned his brother onto the service, and THE day he entered one raffle he won it !! And got himself something for free !! (happened 3 days ago !!) (his name is Lithos and can be seen on the webpage associated with winners)n nAs far as working for them, as long as you are willing to go to Texas to work then you might have a good chance at getting some work... the only thing that stopped me from applying is that I am not ready to leave NY for Texas yet ... want to try and find some work locally before I head out of state.... but I never bothered to ask him how well he paid his employees... probably on par with a national standard ... I just don't know... while I am not knew to programming, I AM new to what a programmer is worth in the job field ... but I will be getting a crash course very soon !!

Ah, okay - lol.. I'm definitely not going to go to Texas to work, I've got a good job here and mainly do "Contracted" or freelance programming on my free time. I assumed (Thats what I get for assuming) that he may just have programmers working over the net to get stuff done on it. I have a Development team that works mainly with web based applications and web design also, so let him know if he plans on getting a redesign done for his site in the future, just drop me an e-mail and we'll get him a pretty nice price on it.nnI'd cut him a pretty large break on a professional web design because he is running something nice and smart that I will definitely use and would like to somewhat contribute to part of the development if he decides on getting a new web design.. Tell him for probably $80, I could redesign his site for him - if he wants to do something like that, have him contact me at Josh@DevXT.comnnnEDIT: Had a question also.. Me and my gf both play dod, so if I were to put this on her computer and login as me, would we get double the points since her and I are both playing on that name? lolnnCya

n nTruth be told I am not sure how this would work out.. but eventually if they caught on to this "tactic" they would no doubt cancel your service... n nTheoretically it would work, but since one is logged in, a red flag would go up if a "second" attempt were made when one was already logged in ... and no doubt they are looking for this type of "boosting"n nOne thing I have personally noted though and am "using" is that if you list in your "games" both dod AND halflife... you pretty much are getting double the points as normal ... when I originally asked how many points per minute the guy said it roughly equals 1:1 (per minute) but over an hour it is possible to get around 72 on avg. Using the "technique" I described I found I avg about 100 an hour, but due to the nature of the game and dying occasionally and frequently ... you do tend to be considered IDLE while you are waiting to spawn (cause most dont fiddle with keyboard and mouse while waiting to spawn, but if you do you will not be IDLE)

Ah, thanks for the insight. I've currently got like 200 bux, so I've been playing, noticed that i am considered idle sitting or spectating, so that ruled that one out lol..nnCya

ni've noticed it do it to me lately as well... but I have also not been playing dod itself the past few days... only thing I can suggest is to post about it on there forum... I am only a user like yourself, doing a favor for a friend by trying it out and spreading the word... the rest is up to him
