rnrnJust an FYI, Tats must have DODS maps mixed in with the DoD 1.3 maps because there are some maps that are 135Mbs in size. I haven't played DODS since i shut down my server two months after it came out, But i dont think that there is any DODS maps that large. I could be wrong though.

nni think its cause some of them contain every file the map precaches.. including large wad files, even if theyre files that come with dod and everyone already has

n nYeah, the original program used to package up all the files didn't care if the file come with the game or was custom.. it packaged up a copy of it ALL ... the biggest culprit of all the files is the halflife.wad itself... sorry about that...n nbeen so busy I never got around to "cleaning" up the customdod.com website... one of many that got left behind...

rnrnWhy is it you think we took all our maps from 907th site? We get our maps from a number of different places from the internet, just like everybody else. We offer these maps free of charge but I pay for the bandwidth used. rnrnI do not make money from giving people custom maps. I do this as a service for the Day of Defeat and Counter Strike community. So why don't you like us? I am giving you something for nothing and you don't like us?rnrnHere are a few of the places we get our maps from...rnrnSunlit GamesrnrnEat My Fire Shortsrnrn907th Raid

rnrnrnYou need to use Winrar or Winzip to uncompress that Rar file to a temporary folder on your desktop. It will have a dod folder in it with all of the subsequent folders and files needed to run the map on your server. you will also need to add all of the files in that dod folder to your web site in order to setup HTTP fast assest down loading, Other wise known as high speed downloads. This is so all of the connecting clients can download the files needed to play that map, At really fast speeds, Instead of the old trickel method.rnrnGoogle winrar or winzip. :)
