Hello, I am new to this server thing and have a couple questions about installing mods. I have searched and searched but cannot find the specific answer I am loooking for. I have installed amxx and know how to compile the plugins from sma to amxx format. After I compile them I place them in the plugins folder. But then what do I do? How do I activate them, do I have to write the cvars in? Do I have to do anything with the amxx.cfg, or .ini files? I just cant seem to find a specific answer and the tutorials I have found have been incomplete. Thanks for any help.:confused:

To get the plugin to load after you have compiled it and put it in the plugins folder..... you need to go to addons/amxmodx/configs and find the plugins.ini at the bottom of there add a linennPLUGINSNAME.amxxnnChange the map and it should load the pluginnnBlobby

So how do I get to the cvar for the plugin? Do I need to type it in the cvar.ini? Can I access it somehow from my console ingame? If so how do I do that?

If so how do I do that?nnAs blobby has stated, add the plugins name to the bottom of the plugins.ini - where it says third party plugins. Save it - upload it.nnNot all but most plugins will use cvars, you will generally find these listed in the oringinal plugin thread which was posted by the plugin author.nnThese need to be added to the amxx.cfg, which is in the addons/amxmodx/configs.nnAgain edit - save it - upload it via ftp and change map.nnHope this helpsnn:)

My amxx.cfg has grown so large (from plugin cvars) that i had to cut it down in order to stop getting the SVC_BAD error and having it kick half my server. Man you must have been doin a lot of typin. ;)
