I have finally figured out some of my wad file problems they are being downloaded as folders and not files is there anything I can do to make sure they are not being downloaded as folders , for example , I just put a map on called ancient_cap_[RSR} on server , I had to add some files but when I tried to join server I get the message that server can't open basic.wad when I looked in my dod folder I couldn't find the wad to delete it so server can download it but lo and behold I looked in my steam folder and found that it was downloaded as a folder so any suggestions to rectify this situation ??

yes the maps where from 17 Buddies but I also have one that was created just for my clan which is the one I was posting about in fact most of the maps I have been having problems with are from there

I'm just downloading the maps from there and putting them on my server , then that's the problem , some wad files download onto client side as folders
