Currently there is an issue with the forum sending emails. Zor will get it fixed as soon as he has the time to do so, but in the meantime if you need your account activated you can reach out to me.rnrn..I guess you can't exactly contact me directly through here since your account is obviously awaiting activation but you can PM me on thernAlliedModders/AMXX forums or find me on steam (though I am rarely on steam these days). Or find some other way to get in touch with me, I don't know lol..rnrnJust send me the username & the email address you used and I should be able to help you out.

Well actually my website also uses vBulletin 4 and even I get activation email problems from my clients. In fact, I was trying to contact you in AlliedMods about that question. The thing is I was thinking of using the STMP Email instead of the PHP Mail, however, I did manage to allow vBulletin 4.2.5 to work for PHP 7.4

I haven't looked into the issue at all myself. But I assume if it may be a common issue that there is probably a fix for it, or just using the STMP method as a workaround.nnI'm pretty comfortable with the vb backend, I've used vbulletin on various sites since early-mid 2000's but not so much for some years. (my personal site is still running v3.7.3, which doesnt play nice with newer versions of php at all) ..so I'm not totally up to speed on everything going on inside it now but generally not much seems to have changed. PHP seems to be where the bigger changes are that breaks things running older code.

Also, I work for Bots-United and the admins granted me AdminCP for their vB Forums cos of my hard-working efforts on improving the bots as well as making waypoints. It's such a pity that both SturmBot and ShrikeBot aren't open-source bots, despite I've managed to improve the coding for RCBot2 for DODS.nnAnyway, as for vBulletin, I think Nova who owns Bots-United may upgrade vB 3 to vB 5 as migrating to a rival web forum will corrupt some of the MySQL database tables - even tho the new vB 5 will be updated for PHP 7 as well as MariaDB; that appears to have fewer bugs than MySQL but is more optimised and compatible with MariaDB. Or vb4mobile offers a PHP 8.0 upgrade for legal vB License owners to fix some outdated bugs for vB 4.2.5 here:-nnhttps://www.vb4mobile.com/showthread.php?t=79nnAs for myself, I had to allow new guests to sign up without the Email Activation Codes required to activate for a while since I had to experiment with my vB 4 site. I know there is some alienating spambot that can make a mess of our sites, which is why I use Spam-O-Matic from vbulletin.org (not vbulletin.com) as well some free vBulletin plugins like vBSecurity and that from DragonByte Tech. And of course, it is wise to have an SSL - which this site is using, where I use CloudFlare SSL...
