As you might know there are quite some bugs in the spectate mode of Day of Defeat (and perhaps other mods). I just 'installed' dod block exploits and I saw it fixes a lot of bugs/exploits/issues in DoD 1.3 which has been in the game for years and I was wondering if either anyone ever looked into the spectate bugs or actually started working on something.rnrnAlthough I just started writing plugins and it's going the right way, this is way out of my league therefor I wanted to ask the community if they ever did something with this or perhaps looked at the possibilities. I personally think it either needs a work around or its just a glitch in the source code of DoD which can't be fixed. But it never hurts to ask.rnrnThe bugs/issues I've noticed in the spectate mode (and I hope it's general, not just my DoD being screwed up).rnrn- The "pull up" menu never worked for me. Im talking about the menu where you click the arrow to appear all the names currently playing the game. What I think was the intention is that you could click the name and just go to that player to spectate him or her.rnrnBasicly when I hover my mouse over a name the selecting field starts "glitching" up. I can click a name but all it does is close the menu again.rnrn- When you start a demo of a player, it will shortly after starting the demo switch over to another player.rnrn- This is just probably my inexperience as an admin and the lack of knowledge of hacks and what else. The fact that certain players can't be spectated in first person. You can track them through 3rd person but it appears like someone spawned inside of them facing the other way. So it looks like they are dragging someone along who is covering their rear side (it sounds weird, but thats what it looks to me).rnrnAbove stated are the most common known and most annoying glitches in the spectate mode. A mode which is pretty important when you want to keep your server retard/scriptdaddy/hack free.
