I did alot of research on google and didn't find anything that can controle strumbots but I couldn't find anything. Even the links that were in strumbots readme were out dated or don't exist anymore.rnrnI tried Shrikbots and I used a Menu Based ShrikeBot Controller by dodsynthetic, and it worked perfectly for shrikbot since I was able to vote to kick bots and add bots very easy tool.rnI want a plugin similar to that to controle Strumbot 1.6 which I have. I tried the commands that in the strumbot readme and none worked, I can not kick bots at all they keep comming back. rnIs there a plugin for strumbot? I preffer strumbot because they work so much better in teams than shrikbots and they also play/act like a real player not just walking waypoints. rnAlso strumbots seems to hack too much, I mean I have NO-Deploy for mgs but they seems to deploy their mgs when thy're standing in the air, making it unrealistic. Is there a way to make them not shoot like that?rnrnrnMy game server is hosted on a windows machine by the way.rnrnthanks

If I can find a working version of sturmbots, I could write one for it. It may take a couple weeks though since I work full time, help run a DoD community and the usual IRL stuff. All the versions I did download about a year ago just crashed HLDS.

rnrnrnrnsounds good dodsynthetic. I don't mind the wait. rnAlso try to write it so that strumbots don't shoot their mgs like hackers (they dont deploy it but they can shoot mg when they're moving as if it was deployed) also I see them always reloading even tho I have unlimited clips and no reload but they still do. rnrnthanks alot

nnI think the reason why bots are able to deploy and human players don't is due to the fact that in the plugin no-deploy there is no check for bots (didn't check this but sounds likely). So the matter would not be in this to be created plugin but in the one you are already using.

The reloading and deploy may be able to be fixed but could just be bugs or how Sturm runs. Without the source, I probably won't be able to fix those issues. If they already have a plugin for controlling them that's borking then as Tank said, it's probably some bugs and could easily be fixed or just rewritten if the source for that isn't available.

ok is there anyway you can turn off bot chat?rnFor example; bots always say "go, go, go" "blahblah Follow me" "Gernades!" and so on.rnrnThese seem to flood the server as it is causing me and others to lag abit.rnrnCan we turn this off so it wont flood the server? I can't even talk to my team in chat because of all the messages that keeps comming up from the bots.

rnrnrnrnok I will try that. But can you give me more commands to put in the strumbot bots.cfg like the ones in Shrikebot.cfg?rnrnWhat about if I want to kick all bots so only human players can play? is there a command for that other than the readme of the strumbots? because it doesnt work.rnrnrnrnrnrnrndodsynthetic, just out of curiosity when do you think you will have the plugins to control strumbot. I know you work full time just wanted to know when so I can always check for it. I really need it.rnrnthanks

If you look in your Sturmbot folder you should see a file called SturmBot_commands.txtrnrnhave a read of that for all available sturmbot commands.

nndid you do them thru rcon? and its also possible that, like shrikebot, alot of the commands and menu only works on a listen server and not on a dedicated

Sadly, I can't even test the plugin. Well, I can see it working correctly by the commands issued in the server console but I can't get SturmBots working what so ever. It is loaded for sure, confirmed via meta game but the bots do not show up in game. I've tried loading the sturm dll from metamod, stand alone in liblist, and via command line too with no luck. Is there something I'm missing here or is it just that it doesn't work with the latest version of HLDS?

I have Sturmbot running on a linux server. I start if from autoexec.cfg with localinfo mm_gamedll shrikebot/dlls/shrikebot_i386.so

Thanks, I didn't think to try sticking it in the autoexec. It's worth a shot. If it still doesn't work though, I guess I'll resort to finishing my tests on Linux then try to figure out the Windows issue later.

Oh heh, I just realized that you are using ShrikeBots. XD I'll still try to do SturmBots this way too and hope I get lucky though. XD

Sorry for the misinformation, I copied the wrong autoexec.cfg. The one I use for our Linux sturm is localinfo mm_gamedll sturmbot/dlls/sturmbot-i486.so of course. I tried briefly to run sturm on one of our windows servers and could not get them to run.

lol No problem. XD Looks like I got a fun challenge ahead. I'll try to fix them so they work for Windows again. Hopefully I can do a work around in AMX and if not then I'll tear into the SturmBot dll.

Well I found out that if you run HLDS in console mode, they work. XD Now I've got a slew of things to fix.
