I've seen (and actually am using) the plugin which displays the player's SteamID when they connect and disconnect from the server.rnrnCurrently, when you are pointing at a teammate, it displays their name. So, in the same fashion, would it possible for someone to create one (or modify the existing one to include) the SteamID either below, above, or next to the players name throughout the entire game when you are pointing at them?rnrnI think it would be handy for it to be always available. For example, if someone is continuously TK'ing others and no admin is available, then the player who wishes to report the individual, won't have to go into their console and scroll back (up to a half-hour of history in some cases) to find when the person connnected to obtain their SteamID.

Not to judge the idea of the plugin, but any person can type "status" in console at any time to retrieve the STEAM ID's of any person connected to the server at that time.

True enough, but how many steps is that?rnrn1) Open consolern2) Type "Status"rn3) Press "Enter"rnrnVs Plugin:rnrn1) Point at personrnrnNot to mention newbies who may not even have Console enabled (or may not even be aware of console use).

Iam a 100% sure that something like this already is out there.. I just made this, and didnt test it, and didnt make it like you wanted :D But it works by binding a key to 'whois'. Aim at a player and then is should print name and steam id.... if i works idk as said.....rnrnrn

OK, I'm having a problem.rnrnTo compile the plugin, I tried to copy and paste the code you provided (the compiler on the AMX ModX site), and when I did, the format didn't copy correctly. rnrnSo, I did the reformat by sight, it looked correct (at least it looked the same in the paste window as it did here), I clicked on compile, it compiled, no errors were given (it gave me a compiled version).rnrnI downloaded to my computer, then uploaded to server. Changed the map. I don't see in the server logs where it loads the plugin like it shows others, and I don't see errors either. rnrnI don't see SteamIDs either.

I found a plugin on Allied Modders called amx_point. It permits the admin to take action against whom they are pointing to. The reason why I am posting the code in here, is because of the function call to point at a player. I don't know if this is the reason why yours isn't working or not.rnrnrn

No (I know bots don't have SteamIDs), and I had a friend on the server verify that it's not showing for him either.
