I've seen it on these forums before, but can't find it. It was basically like a plugin or a piece of code that blocks the message when people join spectators.

u can use d-o's joinquitmessages plugin. not sure if its still around. it has a cvar to turn messages off for admins and etc

Use this plugin by typing in console "gospec" and it automatically puts you in spectators without killing you or showing a message, and no setups or cvars are necessary :P
